This is Week 99 - Week 100 is fast approaching, which means nothing else but shoot and post and shoot and post...so by the time the 100th Week arrives participating will be a natural habit

Frank, thanks much. Those IR shots of yours are really cool!

Photolady: Thanks. Here in the Adirondacks the water is root beer brown because it's stained by tannins from decomposing coniferous trees.

PotW gives me a chance to shoot and share pix that don't fit in with my other work. I enjoy seeing what all of you are shooting, and especially enjoy the sweeping views, which are rare where I live.

I hear ya Tom - I heard even down where you are the weather got nasty! In 7 days (ok maybe 8) I will be on a Caribbean beach and wash my troubles away if only for a little while.........

Now if the weather gods could only see fit to send some of the white stuff to Vancouver, BC for the winter games. Things throughout the region have been pretty balmy since the beginning of the year.

xjjohnno - Nice series of flowers, I like the DOF on #1. And I love the cat picture. When I was a kid just starting my photography addition, I used to take lots of pictures of our cats. Your pic is just the kind of shot I was looking for when I was a kid. Thanks for bringing back those memories.

Keiler - That's a nice sharp image of those birds, and well framed. I like it.

Iris - You're right, those two geese don't like each other. That last shot looks particularly painful. Nice captures.

chinotenshi - I like your pics, especially the lighting on #1. Nice work.

RollsUp - I've never been to Alaska, it's good to see your pics. They do make me feel a little cold, however..

shaun2k - You have really done a good jog showing the capability of the K7 and kit lens. #1 is my favorite.

VaughnA - Nice captures of those two birds. I am rarely able to get a good shot of small birds. Nicely done. Where I live the birds will not sit still long enough for me to get any good shots.

Good on Iris for encouraging more participation in POTW, some weeks it gets kind of lonely in POYW. It's good to see all the new participants.
Frank, that cat was most obliging at demonstrating it's roots and doing a primeval sabre tooth tiggy pose.
