Posted By: photolady95, 02-21-2010, 10:34 AM

Welcome to this 102nd edition of the POTW.

Netuser was the last and I was given the privilege of hosting 102...

Let's do 102 photos this week!!

It's also my first time at POTW

Picture of the Week 102: February 14, 2010 to February 28, 2010.

A special welcome to all new members: feel free to post your shots from this week and last week!

Most important note: feel free to post your shots from this week and last week!

Again same rules and really other than time frames there are no rules
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Date: Sunday Feb 14, 2010 to Sunday Feb 28, 2010. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.
5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via PM. If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between 12:00EST and 5PM EST on the Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator.

Previous hosts: Each one is a hotlink to that POTW thread to look past at the previous 97 weeks. 1 Peter Zack, 2Eaglerapids 3 rmtagg, 4 Peter Zack, 5 daacon, 6 Bramela, 7 mtnbearhug, 8 dantuyhoa, 9 gawan,10 roentarre, 11 daacon, 12 Kris, 13 mtnbearhug, 14 SCGushue, 15 daacon, 16 maxwell1295, 17 dantuyhoa, 18 daacon, 19 maxwell1295 19(2) daacon, 20 Bramela, 21 Syb, 22 maxwell1295, 23 maxwell1295, 24 dantuyhoa, 25 Gawan, 26 Peter Zack, 27 borno, 28 daacon, 29 gawan, 30 Damn Brit, 31 maxwell1295 32 maxwell1295 , 33 dantuyhoa, 34 daacon, 35 Peter Zack, 36 Damn Brit, 37 Borno, 38 Kevint, 39 Peter Zack, 40 Timbo13, 41 daacon, 42 daacon, 43 gawan, 44 dantuyhoa, 45 daacon, 46 Rense, 47 daacon, 48 Rense, 49 borno, 50 Rense, 51 daacon, 52 Peter Zack, 53 Peter Zack, 54 dadipentax, 55 David Whiteley, 56 planedriver, 57 daacon,58 Bramela, 59 daacon, 60 gawan, 61 virgilr, 62 daacon, 63 RickL, 64 Peter Zack, 65 Peter Zack, 66 Causey 67 daacon, 68 Bramela, 69 georgeweb, 70 daacon, 71 seacapt, 72 daacon, 73 AOski, 74 Rense 75 eccs19, 76 daacon, 77 xs400, 78 daacon, 79 Bramela, 80 borno, 81 legacyb4, 82 daacon, 83 gawan, 84 Rense, 85 Peter Zack, 86 davef, 87 davef, 88 xjjohnno 89 Bramela , 90 Peter Zack, 91 daacon, 92 stevebrot ,93 reeftool, 94 jezza323, 95 oldschool, 96 Iris, 97 Rense, 98 planedriver, 99 xs400, 100 Peter Zack, 101 Netuser 102 Photolady

A little bump to get POTW102 back above POTW101 on the board. This particular forum has grown so much it's hard to keep track anymore.

tpeace, such great landscape. Glad you didnt end up in that storm!

Frank, glad to hear the shoulder is doing fine! Lets hope it keeps on like that

mecrox, wonderful shots! The bird is beautiful, the bench-fella is a bit sad somehow.

I'll throw in a few randoms from today

The valley behind me home was full of fog this morning. Soon after taking this shot the fog moved up the valley and covered my neighborhood.

Frank, glad the shoulder's on the mend and is feeling better.

seacapt, nice plane shots. The second one, I know is the rear of the plane but it looks like it's smiling at me.

mecrox, nice photo of the robin. He sort of looks like our blue birds.

seacapt and more planes. I like the last one, the helicopter bright colors.

Bumbipop, nice photos of your friends and resident. Really like the central square and of course the cat.

chenotenshi, nice flower.

John, good to know you can do that sort of thing. I recognize those little capacitors, see many of them in my computer repair business.

Frank....awesome photo of your valley. Miss those things here.

Keep posting folks. We still have four days left for this week's POTW.

Here is a few of mine from this week. I went to my neice's house on Tuesday to fix their computer and of course, took my camera and the 70-300mm Sigma.

This first one was in what's called an Orchid tree:

And a macro of a bumble bee: It's a little darker than I though it would be because the bushes were on the shady side of the house. I used a bit of PP to get it lighter but.....oh well, next time it will be better.

And here are few from my backyard.

And her mate, the male Downy Woodpecker:

A couple from me. Just a fun shot of the neighbours dog getting ready to drive the car. Mom was taking too long...

A test macro that I kinda like. I'm going to have to set this up better and do it again with the light tent. Using a 150mm macro lens and bellows at about 120CM. almost life sized. The bellows and lens are for sale BTW.

That's a cute shot of the dog attempting to drive. TFS.

What is that red thing? Being Macro twice? it's hard to tell what it is.

The "red thing" is a red grape. I'm not sure what you meant by "macro twice". It's just about life size or 1:1

Oh, ok. I guess I thought since you used a bellows and a macro lens, that the bellows would be like macro too?! Guess I was wrong.

I think you're right though, some more light would help.

I have to admit, it feels very good to just feel good again. Thanks for your kind words.
And thanks for the comments on my picture.

seacapt - Nice series on the aircraft. My father was a U.S. Navy carrier fighter pilot, among the many aircraft he flew in his career, he flew planes like those shown in 1 and 3.

bumbibop - I really like that shot of the cat. Very nice.

chinotenshi - Beautiful flower. It's nice to see something of spring..

jheu02 - I'm old enough to have worked on electronics like that. They don't make'em like they used to.

Peter - Wow, it looks like that dog is driving that car. Nice capture.

Seacapt: Reminds me of my dad's models. He was an airman.

Bumbibop: You have more snow than we do! Your cat makes me feel like taking a nap.

Chinotenshi: Beautiful blooms. Apple?

John: Do you want to fix my inoperable cassette deck when you're done there?

Frank: Stunning fog photo! I envy you your view. Glad you're shoulder's doing so well so soon.

Photolady: Lovely orchid tree, and as usual, I like your bird shots. The bee is fabulous.

Peter: The dog behind the wheel is priceless. Macro is cool.

Jussi: Love your black and white photos.
