Because Mar aka Photolady wasn't able to judge
automobile P52, Rob asked me to judge,
a task I am honoured to do. I will give some short comments on all photos, in order of entrance, and then I will designate the winner, and a number 2 and 3.
All very subjective, I admit, but I feel there is no time to do it in very fine detail, with a point system. Hope you all don't mind. Here they are!
Keith/Nomad: nice shot, with smooth lines and very much detail. The reflections fit the classic car very well!
I would like to see more of this oldie!
Rob/Mithrandir: very much detail in this one, nice colours and very sharp! I would have liked some less detail in the background,
it's a little distracting imo, although the car fits very well in this environment! It's yours, isn't it?
Xsalfior: great shot, nice PP! I like the colours in this one, where the attention is drawn to the car!
Iris: great perspective, nice surroundings, with great atmosphere, I really like your shot.I would have liked a frontal look on the car though...
Tamia: nice one
! Nice colours, and I love the OOF area. I'm missing a real sharp part, which is a pity, I think.
Bruce/Bramela: a "macro" of a car
. I like the idea, the colours and forms.
John/Xjjohnno: what a great car! I like such frontal pics better than the ones of the back of cars, generally spoken.
Difficult lighting circumstances, with a slightly overexposed sky and a slightly underexposed foreground...
Frank/xs400: another detail, with a very fine DOF and some very good background highlights. Love the B&W!
And here are the winners:
THIRD: Frank, with the photo of the shift
SECOND: Keith, with the photo of the reflections
and FIRST: Xsalfior, with the Calgary Race City
Well done all, I liked your contributions!
Some more days to shoot clouds!!
