Doesn't focus super close, but often close enough

Nice for getting detail shots to complement a wider shot. This is with k3ii, nd+polarizer filters

Lovely photos.

The last two of the angler in the kayak (?) takes me back. Years ago I used to paddle out in our Old Town freighter canoe in some Canadian Shield lakes, very early in the morning and go fishing with my fly rod. It was very quiet and pleasant ...with the early mist off the lake, just me and my fly rod. It was interesting to see the wildlife about as I'd drift quietly and I hoped unobtrusively ..... near the shorelines. I wasn't concerned about how big my catch might be, mostly I just enjoyed being out in the solitude of an isolated lake.

A lovely shot, aaacb. If you don't mind my curiosity - what kind (brand) of polarizing filter did you use?

DA 40 Ltd for portraits...of the photographer

With an equivalent of a classic 60mm Field of View, the DA 40 almost seems a tad long for a so-called 'normal' lens - but it does portraits - and human beings - very well. Including this shot of the photographer (yours truly) himself -

Thanks! I used (and still use) a B+W MRC polarizer.

cropped for aspect ratio, processed in darktable. f2.8 isn't super bright but bright enough for night shots
