Great shots, looks like it was worth purchasing. That thing looks like a telescope though, wow!

These are excellent shots. Your focusing technique is very good.

Wow, you've really got some skill with that thing.

I had the same version of it for about a year or so with my K20D, I found it a bit too heavy and the focus throw really hard for moving animals/motorsports. Curious bokeh with it too huh, but all in all not a bad bit of kit - pretty unique

Couple more samples:

F8 (Slightly front focused)

Strange contrast is due to wire fence

It's worth every cent I paid, and I overpaid for mine It was one of those had to have it purchases (long story short I got it in person, not on ebay or the like).

Thanks! I keep forgetting to try the lens with my K200d and split image focusing screen, but for now its not to bad. Just takes a little getting used to

Thanks! Its pretty heavy but I don't mind My neighbor/friend just got the newer tak 300mm F/4 but doesn't have a camera to test it with so expect a comparison soon! The focus throw is a bit stiff but it enables accurate focusing. Again something to get used to I've been loving the bokeh, those 18 aperture blades are a wonder in their own right!

Here's another image.... its a great zoo lens. You get a lot of looks

Here is a shot from mine, made on a Canon 5Dii. I don't recall the fstop, but around f8 I think. Hand held. Such a heavy lens!
