We drove to Creston for the day. I only used the DA 55-300. Sample photos attached. Notice the backlight flare from the lens from the female hooded merganser. This is probably the worst you will ever get from this lens without having the light source in the field of view.

A couple more with the K3 and 55-300. The chipmunk was taken thru a double pane window, handheld. The bird is a White-breasted Nuthatch.
