More sample bird photos with the DA-L 55-300. These are all with the K-S2. AF and metering are not as good on this camera as on the K-3, but I find it a big improvement over the K-30.

Des - I am furiously jealous with 1. how you even spot the variety of birds you do (especially the small ones) and 2: that you manage to get such great shots of them (again, especially of the little ones!!!)
Next time I am in Melbourne, gonna try and visit Gippsland. My sister and her family once lived in Newborough (near Morwell) and Moe. Long time since I was around there.
Have a very long-time friend in Melbourne (close friends since 1959) who is also a keen photograph (a la Nikon persuasion at the moment; think he once owned a Hasselblad) and we have promised each other a couple of photography hikes together next time I am down.
