That is an excellent photograph. If it were my photograph I would frame it.

I have a DA 21 and am quite pleased with it's performance.

Agreed. Superbly done. I had no idea the DA 21 could do astro that well. Thought it might be a little too slow.

well, Astrotracer makes it "faster". This was 1 min exposure at f/4.5 and ISO1600.

thanks so much! I was suffering from altitude sickness (10,000ft+) and was barely able to get the shot. Glad I got through that.

thanks! I've enjoyed the DA21 for many years and thought I'd replace my DA15 and DA21 with the new DFA 15-30. That was not wise as these two still beat the 15-30 from f/4 on.

I'm thinking of getting a K-1 and have thought about either the 15-30 or 24-70. Not sure which. I have a 40 Limited, 50 Macro, 50 normal F 1.4 and 10-17 and understand 17mm works ok with the K-1. I understand the other lenses of mine I just listed work ok with FF.
Decisions, decisions.

yeah, for FF 15-30 is a good way to go. On APS-C, though, DA 15 and DA 21 are still the gems.

The DA 21 (along with the DA 15 and 35 Limiteds) are one of the three or four primary reasons I've decided to stick with APS-C for the nonce. The DA Limiteds are among the best primes I've run across, or even heard about, for mid-aperture shooting with smaller format cameras.

Another from the DA 21:

Great shots, and advice. I purchased a 21mm on PF a few weeks ago, but I really haven't put it through its paces yet. If the weather cooperates, I'll be using it tonight to capture the Pleiades meteors.

Fantastic pics on this page from one of my favorite lenses. Here are a couple from mine just before I accidentally sat on it. Now, I can't get it to focus. Hopefully, I can resuscitate it because death by my butt isn't the most pleasant way to go.
