Great for full 360° panos

Still using this great lens for my panos and for those who want to use it on the K1, use at 15mm for full frame coverage...! See my page at 360cities here: Richard Novossiltzeff, panoramic photographer - 360Cities and here: Roundme - create Stock 360 VR panoramic pictures virtual tour online

Thanks. Agreed, it is a fun lens to shoot with.

The 10-17 is a great lens for shooting immense mountains reflecting in large lakes, as we here see with this shot of Red Eagle Mountain reflecting in St. Mary Lake:

Wow!. You really know how to make this lens work.

Are you considering the 11-18 when it comes out?

Actually, no. I'm sure the 11-18 will be a great lens — best in class and all that — but I already own a Samyang 10 and DA 12-24, and I don't use those lenses all that often. I'm not going to drop ~$1,000 on a speciality lens I rarely use. Plus I expect the 11-18 will be over a pound in weight, not what I want in an APS-C lens. I shoot APS-C in part for the lower weight. If I'm going to shoot a wide angle to normal lens that weighs more than a pound, might as well move on to FF.

Happy birthday! I had no idea the Smith River was named after you. Here i had thought it was named after Jedediah Smith, the 19th century mountain man and explorer. But perhaps you are a descendant of the great Jedediah?

Another of Smith River:
