Figured I'd toss one of my favorite lenses in here. Most of these (actually, all I believe) were shot wide open.

I love this lens myself. I was just looking for a place to review it on here, but alas, it is not listed. The photos are great by the way!

First Image w/New to me Auto Sears 50mm f1.7

Bought this on a total whim, after perusing some of the images here. Not bad for $20.

A few more images taken last weekend. Starting to really like this lens. Compared to my other 50mm's (SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4, FA 50mm f1.4, D-FA 50mm f1.8, Sigma EX 50mm f2.8 Macro) it handles better for manual focus-intensive tasks such as close-up flower photography (not requiring macro magnification). Will have to do more field testing soon on landscape scenes to see how it compares to it's stablemates, but I like the lens design (lightweight, sharp, nicely damped focus ring). I also have a RIcoh XR 28mm f2.8, and this lens (Auto Sears 50mm) is very similar in construction and handling, as I understand it was also manufactured by Ricoh. For $20.....seriously useful lens, best Ebay find to date.
