Patience. And a LOT of throw-away shots. I after a few years of getting better on digital I finally feel like I can pull off *some* of what I do with film, but motion shots I normally don't attempt on film very often simply because it's expensive and chances are that I miss 5 before I hit one because they are so small and move so damn fast.
I often prefocus on a spot that they've been to recently so I don't have as far to go, but at large apertures it's difficult no matter. I think that's why I love shooting them with shallow DOF because it's such a challenge. When it hits, it pays off... but yeah - I have binned hundreds of missed shots.

The 77 limited for concert

I was at a concert of Martin Barre and his band (Martin was the long-time lead guitarist of Jethro Tull - old guys like me will remember)
Outstanding musicians, by the way!

Just took the K3 with the 77ltd. with me because I was there for the music, not for pictures.
But nevertheless I could take a few shots
.
By the way: the concert was at Haloween and after the break the guys came back with some fancy outfits.

You've got some great shots with the one my wife calls our magic lens. When we go to school events, concerts and the like, Jocelyn says, Oh I'll take the yellow camera (k-01) with the magic lens!

Thanks! Yes, I totally agree that the 77 is magic and I sometimes use it on my yellow K-01 as well.

Few more samples:

A nice shot that also proves Martin has great taste in guitars. Would you mind if I posted the first two on the Paul Reed Smith website?

Thanks for your comment and feel free to post the shots.
If you search on YouTube for Matin Barre and Bluesgarage you can find some videos taken that night.
