Archimedes, you have a typo in the second set of images:

"For comparison's sake, here's the DA 50mm f/1.8:

DA* 55m f/1.8 at f/1.8, DA* 55m f/1.8 at f/2.0, DA* 55m f/1.8 at f/2.8"

That threw me off when I scrolled up into it.

I have used the DA *55 on a K-1 for a little while now. I would say that at f1.4 the corners are really weak. At f2, it is usable. Most of what I have shot has been landscape and so I am stopped down a lot.

All lenses are best stopped down ... I reckon f2 is great on the DA*55, with good bokeh, central sharpness and 3D background separation possibilities.

Just all round excellent photography, Pepperberry Farm. I like all the photos in your series, but particularly the first photo of the netting and the eighth photo of the balls of yarn, this one reminds me of my grandmother and her yarn supply, many years ago.
