f/2

Really gota love this lens even shooting through a smudged hand print infested glass cabinet a stop and a half down it maintains paramount sharpness and contrast not to mention producing perfectly round bokeh high lights.

f/2-

Haven't really used this for shallow depth of field, as I shoot F4 on up in the studio.

You guys are not helping my LBA

I don't think I 'need' this lens, as I have a FA43, FA50, FA77 and DA 50-135 which sort of covers this FL well.... but I sure do 'want' one

Sell the FA50 and replace it with the DA*55, its field of view is excatly half-way between the FA43 and FA77

I have a Sigma 50 F/1.4, and it's a pretty good lens, but that extra 5mm changes the DOF quite a bit and almost makes this lens compete with a FF sensor. I am desperate to try one of these lenses but I'll have to buy one to try it around here, very disappointing. The Sigma beats this lens on resolution MTF charts and has a smoother, if not dull, bokeh so it could be worth a try. What do you think?
