Hey guys, I know that the "DA" series is made for digital crop, but is there any chance that the 55 is like the 40 and can be used on an analogue camera(Program plus)?

You could probably use it on a Pz series camera, but it doesn't have an aperture ring, so using it on cameras where the aperture can't be controlled from the body is basically a no-go (I guess it would shoot wide open all of the time).

Woaa! that sucks! D: The Program Plus will shoot at 1/60 and varies the aperture to the right exposure for lenses with no aperture ring (That's what it does with my sigma 10 - 20) It will go down to 1/30 1/15 1/8 if lighting is bad, but maaaaan I want to use this beast at f1.4 - f2 even on a bright nice day.

Great work Simon. Would love to learn more about your PP techniques someday. I want the shots of my kids to have that pop.

I'd be interested to hear what the PP technique here is too. It might just satisfy me until I can sell my lungs for this lens.

TOUGEFC - I've been on the fence about which portrait lens to buy (77mm FA, DA*55, 43mm FA, Sigma 50mm F1.4 or Sigma 85mm F1.4) for over a year now and your DA*55 photos finally pushed me over the edge and made me pull the trigger. Now if only I could buy your photographers eye and post processing prowess so easily

I'll second (and third) previous posters questions on your PP techniques. If you ever get the time it'd be awesome to see a before and after of your work. What's really amazing to me is how many kid shots you have that are tack sharp wide open!
