Dollar per pound, and for a manageable amount of dollars (and unmanageable amount of pounds ) , this is the best K-mount lens I'm aware of.

The Tammy 70-200 is great for zoos. I bought mine almost solely for that purpose, and images from that lens have been used in brochures, advertisements, even articles. The lens delivers professional results, and offers great flexibility in a zoo setting.

This thread has inspired a trip to the zoo for me in the near future. And purchase of a Tamron 70-200mm from a forum member. :P Took these in my "test shoot" with it yesterday!! Focusing was rough at first, but I'm getting the hang of it.
