This is a big and heavy telezoom with remarkable image quality and versatility for many applications. It's a sharp and great rendering lens.

Haven't used the 70-200 too much this year...

f5.6 @ 200.

f6.7 @ 170.

f5.6 @ 160.

f4 @ 115.

f4.5 @ 200.

f4.5 @ 150.

Great lens,albeit being the smallest and lightest of its class it is still too large and heavy for everyday use.

I'm going to take it to a horse show next weekend for a test drive.

An example of how amazing the 70-200 is. Shot at 200mm, F8, 1/1250s, ISO 400. The cars were approximately 300 feet away at least, I would say they were much further away. Crop in picture is 1:1 crop - rest of picture was resized to show visualization. Ignore my shoddy photoshopping.

is this lens compatible with the Sigma APO TELE CONVERTER 2X EX? I'm thinking in buyng one, for birds.

By the way, I'm very very happy with the lens, a little heavy, but very good quality. The focus can be better, but for the price, it's very good.

Tamron really does very well with bokeh, on the 90mm Macro and the 70-200. It makes me so sad because I need a WR telephoto when I get my k-5, but I can't think to part with my 70-200
