Samyang/ProOptic/Bower/etc 8mm f/3.5 Fish Eye

This lens is made by Samyang, but marketed under a variety of different brands. I got mine at Adorama under the ProOptic brand.
Pros: Decently sharp even at 3.5; relatively (for a fish eye) flare resistant; small and light; good build quality
Cons: manual focus (but since the DOF is so huge this isn't a big deal) lens cap is clunky and proprietary which means DON'T LOSE IT! It's a fisheye so there is going to be some flare.

an in camera panorama just shy of a full 360 degrees with the Bower 8mm on my Fuji. The Fuji stitching is generally pretty good so far

I've only had this lens for a short time, but so far I'm loving it! Incredible sharpness and even more remarkable considering the 8mm focal length. I also very much like this stereographic fisheye effect as compared to other fisheyes. I have a Rokinon version. All these have been cropped a bit. I usually shoot f5.6-8 and approximate the focus distance. (There are reports that the scale is inaccurate, but mine is reliable enough.)

I am considering getting one of these. Never owned a fisheye before. If I get it on a pentax mount I can use it on my K-5 and with an adaptor put it on my OM-D, giving me a 16mm equivalent. That's the theory anyway.

K-3 with Rokinon 8mm f3.5 AS IF UMC

I bought mine at the recent B&H flash sale; it's branded as a Rokinon...

as mentioned above, reasonably small, good color rendition, poorly engineered hood, reasonably flare resistant...
