Pentax-F 35-70mm f/3.5-4.5 samples

This great little lens to often goes unused in favor of my mid-range primes, but I find it quite good especially at 70mm and up close.

I find it to be my most used zoom ! not much bigger than most of my fast 50's with just a little room for changing the framing of a shot if needed. And on the odd occasion I actually need AF it's pretty quick for a screw drive ! And as a plus it has excellent contrast on film bodies if that's my thing that day

This lens is also good for landscape. The sample below was taken with MZ-5N.

I took a walk with this lens on a *ist DS. You can pick up that kit for under $200, and it is capable of making some nice pictures.

Great for Closeups

The SMCP-F 35-70mm is great for closeups - so easy to use!

Nice shot of the crocus...saw them out on my walk this evening too (looks like we are both from Rolla). I do love my F 35-70 for pseudo macro but was using my 28mm SMC Tak.

Thanks Justin. Nice to see someone else from Rolla. I thought I was the only one here!

I recently picked up the F 35-70, and really like it.

Yeah...nice knowing someone else is shooting Pentax here. I picked up the F 35-70 a couple years ago and it really is a nice all around lens...and cheap too!

A terrific little lens that renders colors beautifully. I don't use this lens nearly often enough.

Spring bike ride with just the 35-70

This is such a lovely little lens. Went for a long bike ride on a beautiful early spring day using just my K-x and 35-70. Great colors, great sharpness...

Great P&S Lens

If I want to just point and shoot, the F35-70 makes a great lens for that purpose. It's such a good all-around lens, as has been pointed out by others here. Some P&S examples from my granddaughter's recent 8th birthday party (the trampoline makes for crazy hair - ha!):

Happy Birthday!

All taken with Pentax K100DS, SMCP-F35-70mm f3.5/4.5, ISO200 outdoors, ISO1600 indoors (pushed to ISO2400 in PDCU).

A great party lens!
