And nearly 1:1 when scanning 35mm film, enough to leave a small border for cropping the edges neatly. This has recently become my method of scanning, the working distance is great

I really agree - very nice!

The green leaves have a lovely “glow” to them, and the deep reds in the background set them off nicely.

One of my favourite lenses.

Same set up, different ƒ stops.





So far the Flickr faves are 3 to 1 for the shallow DoF version.

And one using pixels shift.

Great images, Norm. I am going to go against the trend and say I prefer the 2nd version of the drooping mushrooms with the greater depth of field. And I really like the red toadstool image.

Not the first time I see a hawk resting on a low branch and all I have is this lens. Good thing it's sharp and allows for heavy cropping

I personally might like to see more dof than f4 but less than f22. Of the two I’ll take the f4 shot.
