This is an amazing lens. By all accounts, it should have a limited label. While it's not a pancake lens, it has amazingly small and tight construction with metal build. While it is a great macro lens, it can also be used for portraiture without problem (just may need to work a little harder to fix blemishes).

a versatile lens for sure. Fantastic shots.:-) Did you use some sort of tele converter to get that close to the grasshopper?

No. Just got really close to him -- probably about the minimum focus distance.

Only had it a couple of hours but here's a couple

My lens sounds very slightly gritty/scratchy when manually focussing...is this normal? I have tried to compare it to the rest of my lenses and they all make some slight sound when turning the focussing ring...

Anyways on with the pics









Lighting snakes in a viv is harder than I originally thought
