Pentax A 16mm f/2.8 Fisheye

I also am a huge fan of this lens. Picked my copy up with a few other lenses, and it's the peach of my rather small (but growing) collection. Currently using it on a K5, and still learning about all that has to offer. Hard to not stare at that gorgeous front bit of glass...

How time flies. Did not realise that its been almost 10 months since I last posted a shot taken with this lens.

A view which captures both the old and new financial district, coupled with the famous Buddha Tooth temple ( extreme left handside ). Tunneling works for the subway can be seen in the foreground.

I've owned this lens for less than half a day and already I'm in love with it. I've tried a few older fisheye's but the quality of the A 16mm f2.8 really stands out (IMO)...

Took the A16/2.8 out on the K1 mkII to a local food market in the Priory grounds - it's a real pleasure to use in the right situation...

This looks very similar to a Zenitar 16mm f/2.8 that I think is currently still in production, and available in K-mount. I have one of these, and it is a surprisingly good lens. It needs to be stopped well down for best results. The only problem with the Russian lens is that it has a terrible bespoke lens cap (a weird shape to fit an asymmetrical vestigial lens hood that is permanently attached to the lens). The lens cap wants to pop off all the time.
