A Super Tak 85/1.8 was the "normal" lens on my Spotmatic for about 17 years. It was always satisfactory. Today the SMC-M 50/1.7 (almost) serves the same point of view on the DSLR's . . . but some how it doesn't quiet have the same 'feel' . . . although I'm pretty sure it's just a label association issue now. That 85 was a good friend.

Just got my SMC K 85/1.8 back from Dcshooter...... luckily I had my normal model on standby ........ f5.6 MFD or there about... window light... on K-1

Yep, another legacy lens goes against the doomsday odds......
