Smc Pentax M 20mm f4

This lens is tiny. Very sharp. A bit hard to bring the bokeh out from this little gem.

With short focal length lenses you don't get much of any depth of field effect, let alone bokeh. This is one of the reasons amateur picture takers like the P&S and cell phone cameras, everything is in focus. The close up of the sax player is nice with some reasonable DoF. Some nice vistas too.

Great use of the accentuated perspectives!

The B&W castle and train are quite nice.

Regards,

Shot on a crop-sensor (K5) - 2s mirror up, tripod, remote release, SR off.

I realise this test is far from perfect - please don't critique the technique - and I hope the results are useful to someone.\

All are click for full-size.

This used to be my favorite lens, until it was supplanted by the DA 21. Still quite wonderful, with somewhat more subtle colors than the HD DA 21.

A few samples:

...and here's another. Had to re-shoot this after chimping, as using the hyperfocal marks on my copy did NOT work for me!
