Tripod, 13 seconds, ISO 1600 and judicious use of photoshop adjustments (levels, vibrance, saturation, contrast). I don't have any fancy stuff like stacking software, or GPS things. I just went out, stuck the cam on the tripod, and tried a number of different exposures. This seemed to be the best of the bunch once back and on the computer. Also did some with a 15mm but I prefer the 43s, because you can use a shorter exposure time. I don't have a remote yet
I'm going to head out again pretty soon with a longer lens (a 200mm Minolta mount, with an adapter... it seems to focus to infinity so I'll give it a whirl and see what happens). Need to brave the cold weather, but it seems best to do it in winter when there's not so much heat rising off the earth to disturb the night skies.
