Short Walk With My K 55mm f/1.8

Hello All,
My first K Pentax, after many M's and newer lenses. I must say I'm impressed with the rendering and sharpness, it has the classic 1960's pastel colors, bright but not overdone in saturation like some digital lenses. Greens are especially well-rendered and the photos have a film-like look that I like.
It was a cloudy, gray day, so I added a bit of contrast. Other than normal cropping, that's all the PP used, and all it needed!
Ron

Fun With An Old Lens!

Thanks, Ash, I'm still finding ways to use this lens. It's very easy to focus, nice and bright. Love the colors!

some of these cross-posted from the k-club thread, but all shot with the K55/1.8 (on K10D and K5).

i'm enjoying this lens more and more. there's something delightfully tactile about a well-sorted manual focus system, and the rendering and colors seem somehow better than many modern lenses. these are just a few snapshots taken without any real attempt at a particular outcome:

what i would like to do now is find an equivalent wide angle. 20mm or so ideally.

A wonderful lens.
I've cherished a few of these over the years and they(1.8/2.0) remain as my all time favorites. Along with the 28/3.5, 35/3.5, 50/1.4 etc etc

I'm just getting to know this lens and my K-5, but I'm digging both. Wanted to share a few shots, nothing remarkable, but they make me happy.
