You're definitely a seasoned DxO user. Are you using it end to end (RAW to final image) or are there any other software tools involved in the process?
For stitching panoramas, I use Microsoft Image Composite Editor (which is free and easy to use). (I process the RAW files in PL, export as TIFs and stitch those in ICE, which exports them as jpgs. It sounds more complicated than it is.) For my rare forays into HDR, I have used HDR Efex Pro. I sometimes use Nik Silver Efex Pro for B&W images. (I have the free Google versions of these two, not the DxO versions.) Otherwise (and this is for 95% of my photos) it's the DxO programs all the way.

I would like to try focus stacking, which requires something else.

Spectacular work, here and the rest of this page Des. If this won't sell the lens to someone nothing will.

Thanks very much to each of you. I'm glad you are not bored with them! So many fine images in the DA 18-135 WR, Show us what it can do - I hope some others will pick out their best and post them here. Mircea, I hope you get as much enjoyment from the lens as Paul, Kevin and I have got.

The take-home to me it that the 18-135 is a very good all-rounder. Combined with even a cheap body and maybe a DA 55-300 f4-5.8 and a cheap prime like the A50 f1.7, all for say $US600, it offers outstanding bang-for-buck.

I just purchased a used DA 18-135 mm ED WR that I use on a K3. Not bad !!

Thank you to fellow Pentaxian Des, whose pictures incited me to give this lens a try. A really good all-around zoom, excellent when used @ f/11.

Happy to have contributed to the decision Richard! Your samples show how good the resolution is at narrow apertures. But it's also very good at wider apertures when you want to pick out a subject.
