Lots of lovely great images!

I wonder if anyone have compared this lens to the sigma 50/2.8... I own the latter, do not own the Pentax. I do love the Sigma, and I see the images here and just reallly wonder.

If you own the Sigma 50 Macro and love it, I'm not sure you really need the Pentax — unless you're into collecting 50mm macros. Virtually all 50mm macros are sharp. The Pentax A 50 Macro, in addition to being very sharp, does feature really nice color and bokeh — but it only provides 1:2 magnification.

Great shots... They might be quite similar afterall, the Sigma does go 1:1... the Pentax I find to be warmer (based on the shots in this thread) in a good way.

I could get used to this lens...



I need to figure out DOF at 2.8 - super narrow up close, but some portraits taken at about 8 feet, are more forgiving.
