Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM

The OS version of this lens seems to be missing here entirely, so I figured I'd start a thread with some samples. These are all rather abstract and most have had major Lightroom editing, but they still show some of the qualities of this lens.

All pictures are available in high resolution on Flickr, as are exposure settings.

I have heard that this is the sharpest Sigma 70-200 yet, and it beats out the Tamron 70-200 (which would put it on par with the Canon 70-200 Mk2). The shots you present seem to agree with that!

Nice shots. I love the use of lines and your color processing.

Sigma has been turning out some really nice lenses over the last 3 or 4 years. I wish they would redesign their 24-70.
How quick is the AF on the 70-200 HSM OS?

Thank you for your kind words. As regards the optical performance, the only real flaw I see is that it gets a little soft off-center at 200 mm and f/2.8. Anything else is as sharp as you'd want it to be. SLR Gear has a review that describes it nicely. I suppose that, apart from 200 mm, the advantages of a current Nikon or Canon 70-200 are mostly nominal.

Very quick. I must say I'm no autofocus expert as I shoot manual focus mostly, but you're probably going to be limited more by what your camera can do than by the lens.
