Surprised there's not already a thread for this lens!

f/4, 250mm
focus TOTALLY locking up - won't even manual focus. Then sometimes it's fine. I put it on a K1, worked great, worked great on my K3ii briefly, as soon as I got it home it's bricked. This sucks.

Cheers,
Cameron

Where you at with this if you don't mind me asking?

Has it been fixed? (under warranty?)

and shooting like the fabulous lens it is. But, there is one mysterious behaviour, I don't know if it's camera or lens related; when focussing from close out to infinity, it hunts a bit, going in there or four 'steps', but coming back from infinity to close focus, it goes zip in one smooth motion. Is this normal? I have tried infinity to about 5 feet, inifinity to about 10 feet, 15, and still the same - zip - one motion. And I have tried various close to infinity shots, from 5 feet to 5 miles, etc, and it ALWAYS hunts a bit.

Aside from that, magnificent lens, wow!

Cheers

Volley, I love the capture of the girl doing the long jump - especially her hair - you were perfectly positioned for that shot!

Thanks much, Ron!
It is a very photographer friendly event. First class athlets but even as an amateur photographer you can get fairly got spots to shoot.
This one was just 2/10th of a second later ...

It's amazing how much the pic changes in that short a time frame.

Still a great capture but, even with the intensity shown on her face, I prefer the first one. (You must have a good camera. )
