Pentax A 400/5.6

This is another great affordable and in this case long lens we as Pentax shooters have at our disposal. Cannot believe that it wasn't already in the samples area.
f9.5 1/60 iso 100 the subject is just over 1/3 mile away taken from a ridge overlook.

Likewise. The long FL can be great for landscapes, as you've shown.

Pentax A 400mm f5.6 with a 20mm extension tube and minimal PP (no sharpening):

Pentax A 400mm f5.6 with a 20mm extension tube and PP in LightRoom (reduce clarity) and On1 Effects free 10 (to give it a bit of "glow"):

Most lenses over 300mm are a pain to use, but this one is a real joy

You should, it is a very good lens.

Thank you. The 1.4x-L is a good mate for the A 400/5.6; the Rear Converter-A 2x-L not so much, although it is usable IMO...
