cannot bealive it,
when in the hand of good photographer this lens could give good picture (composition).
i saw on Pentax Lens Preview: Riconar 55mm 1:2.2 Lens Reviews - Ricoh Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database
reviewer only give 5.33/10,
To be honest i gave up on this lens and try a Non SMC A 28-80 Lenses (same price).

What BW Film you use? id like to try to on my Trip 35 somehow...

It's a okey lens especially if one consider what you can find this for.
But quite far from the best normal prime lens.
Gets a lot of glow at closer focus etc.

Can find a lot more and hi res test pictures on my blog:

I don't use your standard b&w film for these test pix.
Its AGFA CINEREX (X-ray film)

Not a film for normal use and it have a very low speed.
It's bairly a ISO 25 film and I shoot it at ISO 12.

I mostly use kodak Tri-X for my normal use.
If you want cheap film I would go for the Rollei RPX 100 or 400
But these are very grainy with some developers.
Like D76 but have read that x-tol work quite well.
Or ofcourse there own developer made for this film
