Helios-44M 58mm f/2 (M42)

Have tested a Helios-44M 58mm f/2 which has M42 mount.

Below are some of the test shots taken with this lens.
The B&W pictures are analog and are taken with a Chinon CEII Memotron, AGFA CINEREX (X-ray film) and developed in X-tol.
Color shots are digital and are taken with a Canon 500D, auto WB and ISO 100.

I added this photo just to demonstrate the hexagonal bokeh you get when you stop down a bit - if I remember correctly this was at f4. My lens is marked as 44M-6, if that makes any difference.

This is a 44m-4, I was trying to instigate the swirly bokeh but I failed.

Still one of the best bokeh in business, I've one in K mount that is a pleasure to use with my Pentaxes:
