What camera did you use for those last images?
Thanks!
P.S.: I am really amazed with the sharpness of this lens even with TC's !!
Hi jpzk,
In all the samples I have uploaded I used the K-1 in full frame format.

Thank you for your time and effort! Much appreciated!
How do you find the lens wide open and at F8? Tell us some more things from your experience and especially if you shoot it handheld ;-)
Do you have pics from the lens somewhere where we can see more?
Hi redpit,
I have always closed the aperture lens around f/9 and f/11 even with the TCs attached.
After reading the lens review in PF, I have always used this apertures. I think the hot spot is around f/9.
In the last samples the procedure was: Attach the TC when lens is full open and before tacking the picture close two full stops. The aperture displayed in camera was:
- 560: f/11
- 560+1.4x: f/16
- 560+1.4x+1.7x: f/18. Full open displays f/9.5
When I have time, I will take some more pictures without the TCs with different apertures.
I just have the lens for a couple of months and I have used for moon shots with the TCs, so always with a tripod
.
I tried it hand held the first time I used, and I think you can take a couple of pictures at high shutter speed, not more
. Well, it depends on your age and strength
.
I want to go to the Retiro park, here in Madrid, to take some nature/animals pictures. When I do I will post some of them.
As stated in the other reviews, the lens is not very well balanced in the gimbal head with the K1+grip. I have to use a long plate (wimberley p-50) and set it way forward.
