It was discussed in another thread if "good B&W lenses" exist at all (or if there are good and bad ones), but yes - for me it works - many of my favorite B&W images are made with M 40...

Sure seems okay to me. This is my first image from my new 40mm. Had one years ago and never should have let it go.
