Remarkable lens, excellent images. I'm fence-sitting on chasing down a Sigma 180mm or just slap the 1.4X TC on the FA100 f2.8....

First attempt with this little gem, plus some processing in Silver Efx Pro 2...

Then the classic fly shot....

This is going to be lots of fun

Either of you interested in posting to a new Full Frame specific lens thread? Here's a lim to an Index in the Forum stickies for Manual lenses only. The Sample Photo Search Engine won't index these photos because they don't have EXIF lens info.

Ah, those bright greens from the A*200 Macro...sold mine to a forum member...slightly different color cast than the FA* lenses and even a bit different than other A* models. Great with both 1.4 XL and 2 XL teleconverters too, and I'm a wicked hater of teleconverters. Wouldn't trade the FA* 200 Macro for the A* but wish I still owned both!

Just learning Macro

First attempts at macro with the A*200 F4 Macro.
I used the Vivitar 283 flash but not sure I like the artificial light.
Windy days are tough for macro photography!

Yikes - nice shot, but that’s not your everyday Garden Gnome.

How do you deal with the ‘flesh housing’ overhang using that lens?

Some people say the knobs for the collar / tripod mount contact the overhang if you shift it to portrait mode.

That's true... can't shift into portrait mode if you use the tripod mount. So, you either have to mount the camera on a tripod (not the lens) or put the tripod away. :-)

Or use an L Bracket.
