Héron vert / Green Heron [Butorides virescens]

I am from Quebec, Canada, but had to travel to Florida, and only brought a 500mm, this 28-105mm the 15mm LTD and the HD-TC1.4x, with the Pentax K3MK3 body only... the 28-105 was the one I brought with me while walking aroung, or biking.

I was lucky that this picture was one of the sharpest of the series**, despite the basic zoom lens, the Pentax HD D-FA 28-105mm f/3.5-5.6 (variable aperture), coupled with a 1.4x rear-converter (so max f/8 at 147mm).
On this picture, I was at f/11, 1/125s and ISO 125 at 147mm. This image has been significantly cropped. The high luminosity allowed me to lower the ISO for more sharpness. But it was not easy ...

**In fact, out of 17 pictures I took while trying to get close to it, I only got 3 good ones, including this one with the hoopoe rolled up!
I was very happy !
