Great framing. That water looks very cold.

Thanks. As this photo was taken in late August, it shouldn't be all that cold. Much colder in spring.

All Hail the Mighty Pentax!

What other camera's Shake Reduction, and what other xx-300mm zoom but the Pentax 55-300mm PLM could let you get away with this??

I had been wondering around my front yard, my mobile phone rings, take it out of pocket with my left hand and start talking, right hand as described holding my KP with the 55-300mm PLM fully extended, and this little bird lands not more than 3-4 metres away?

Impossible, I thought to myself. But I had to try.

So, free-standing, left hand holding mobile phone to ear and still talking, right hand holding KP with 55-300mm PLM extended out to 300mm, shoot one-handed, and get this:

Size: 45.6 KB

I give Pentax technology the credit for this one.

"Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl" refers to the volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl which overlook the Valley of Mexico and the various myths explaining their existence. The most common variety relates the Nahua romance of the princess Iztaccíhuatl and the warrior Popocatépetl. Wikipedia
