During Nautical Twilight this morning, this was an unexpected 2.9 % waning moon, a day before the new moon. The first time in a while without clouds coving the horizon whenever I go to the beach in the early morning. I took a few shots trying to time a bird into the frame and bumped up the ISO to 400 to get a faster shutter speed trying to keep the moon and bird from blurring. KP, F6.3. 1/20. ISO 400, 300mm.

"Birds from yesterday"

Temperatures go up and down recently. We had around 20°C (!) and now we're under 0 again.

A walk let me shoot some birds. Fun fact: the cormorant at the right side of image 3 I recognised at home when I developed the raw file! Later I asked my wife if she saw this guy when we were out. She also didn't! - We're getting old, I guess.

All Images made with KP and DA55-300PLM @ 300mm, the last two in addition cropped.
