Another with the Sigma, 210mm wide open (or very close!) Pitcher plant surrounded by last year's dead plants. Taken at the bog walk, Orono, Maine.

Another Ruby Throated hummingbird shot. Heavily Cropped (!00%+ crop) ISO 1600 1/1600s, F8, 270mm. You can see where he appears to have been in a scrap and lost some feathers on his back. They are pretty feisty!.

A young squirrel tried to get to my bird feeder today when I was shooting hummingbird images, so I shooed him away from the feeder and he decided to munch on some plum blossoms while letting me get very close.

Hairy woodpecker attacking my suet feeder. Two similar images, both processed in DxO with the standard profile. Small K adjustment only, then cropped to same size, one is F8 and the other F9. Shot a few moments apart.
At full resolution the F9 is noticeably better but at forum size it isn't as obvious.

I need to mount mine since the Osprey chicks are fledging about now, and the weather is not wet, foggy and rainy like it has been for the past week. need to play with my new D-FA 100 Macro WR too!
