Spiratone Plura-Coat by Mitake 28mm f2

Spiratone Plura-Coat by Mitake 28mm f2

I know that Spiratone was essentially a re-brander of lenses and that Mitake was the manufacturer of this lens - but beyond that, I've found virtually nothing out about it. Very few examples of shots taken with it online anywhere and there are even fewer shots of the lens itself.

here is the lens itself, with an SMC K 55mm f2 for comparison purposes:

this is an all-metal lens, with a 62mm filter thread, and is in K-mount... I was not expecting much (in fact, I bought it as a challenge to myself) since it is an older, unknown quantity, with questionable coating to the glass (Plura-Coat anyone?)...

some shots with it:

You have severe decentering problems with the lens in the middle (1st photo). But I suppose bokeh must be tasty. :P

First, not third.

BTW - do you keep your lenses buried in a bucket full of tomatoes, that you have to ask?! :>

you meant the first shot of the two lenses and stack of cookies, right? that's what I get for taking you too seriously...
