Thanks, but I think a plane ticket from Oz to the USA would cost more than the lens.

I use an old (free) Velbon Videomate tripod... since what I shoot is generally moving - or fidgeting - I usually have to keep the shutter speed up a bit, so I don't need the ultimate rock-steady tripod.


It's a challenging lens to use for sure, but when you get it right there is certainly a feeling of accomplishment.
