SMC Takumar 20mm/f4.5

These photos on the 20mm/f4.5 SMC Takumar on a Spotmatic II were taken on February 13, 1976. They are of downtown Toronto. Amazing how much this city has changed in over 43 years. According to skyscraper.com Toronto is second only to New York City for the largest number of skyscrapers. This was also 4 months before the official opening of the CN Tower which for a few decades was the tallest free standing structure in the world.

WOW. As a tourist I have been there a few times over the past 10 years. Those are wild - I have no context for the past but the present is so different. Really nice time capsule.

Fantastic shots that capture the atmosphere of the time beautifully and really show what the Tak 20 can do in expert hands. One of the best sets of photos I've seen in a long time.

Marvellous urbanistic documents !
...also a lovely and lost taste of architectural image. Sigfried Gedion docet... why don't you send them to the prestigious CCA (Canadian Center of Architecture) ?

Best regards
