This lens is the "middle child" of the 6x7 55mm lens series. It is generally regarded as being sharper overall than the 55/3.5 6x7 Takumar that preceded it, but not as much as the final 55/4 rendition. Personally, I find little if any fault with this lens and even if the final 55/4 version is sharper, it can only be slightly so.

This was my favourite 67 lens. (Unfortunately I no longer own the 67 camera or any lenses)
In my case I had intended to purchase the later model 55/4 lens however the "middle child" one was sent to me instead. I tried it out and decided to keep it, as I was very happy with the optical qualities.
