Auto - Topcor 58mm f1.4 (M42)

not sure how to categorize this lens - manufactured by Cosina, but given a name from the past that really doesn't exist anymore for 35mm photography....

Lucky you, these lenses are really expensive and rare. I have the RE original version of this lens and it's my favorite standard lens ever and I wish I could shoot it on my Pentax, although I don't believe the Cosina reproduction will be quite the same. Cosina tweaked the optical formula and the single coated nature is what gives the original so much of its character. It's beautifully sharp wide open but the washed out contrast gives the images it makes a really unique vintage look.

thank you...

you are correct - this version only shares the name and focal length with original...

Looks like a beautiful lens. All your cookie measurements should be added to the database.

Is it made out of aircraft aluminum like the original?
