TTArtisan 40mm f2.8 Macro (APS-C only, X-mount)

third lens I've purchased in the TTArtisan line - full metal build, nicely damped focus ring, and the aperture ring clicks (you don't know how annoying it can be until you no longer have clicks in the aperture ring):

this is a full 1:1 macro, with no electrical connection to the camera body...

Whoa nice photos! Sharp and colours look really nice to me. May I ask what PP you applied?

I'm currently looking for a nice macro lens for Fuji X myself. I can't find the Bokina or the Kiron 105mm f2.5 for a reasonable price, and Fuji's native offerings are way out of the price range. That TTArtisan's pictures look really nice *and* the lens is affordable.

thank you....

I use ON1 PhotoRaw 2021 for post-processing....

as far as macro lenses go, depending upon the focal length you want, this 40/2.8 is the bee's knees...

but I could also suggest the Tamron 90/2.5 or 2.8 lenses, the Tokina 90/2.5 (there's one for sale in the Marketplace here on PF), or the Yashica ML 55/2.8 - all are solid performers....

Thanks, I've seen the Tokina on the Marketplace. But the seller only ships to the US. Also 300$ is the absolute maximum I'd pay for one in (near-) mint condition. I've seen them recently for as low as 170Ä but in OM mount, and I'd prefer the K(A) version so I can use it on that K-1 that I'll buy...one day Patience and LBA don't go well together

There really isnít any such this as a bad macro prime. (Macro being defined as at least 1:2)
