# of shutter cycles k-5?

Just ordered a new k-5 from Amazon. Want to know if the camera had some early usage and how and what buttons to push to show, on the screen, possible newness of my purchase. Regards sq.

Check an image using ExifTool

Shutter Count, Internal Serial #, and Manufacturer Date (of Internals) are visible in the EXIF data.

Don't pay attention to the Body Serial # - Pentax have recycled these...

.... either that or PhotoMe (google it).. Load an unedited file into it, hit control+f and type in Shutter Count. You can also search manufacturer date.

Also, don't be alarmed when you see a shutter count of 1XX (or something similar) those are just manufacturers test shots.

True but, Originally (I don't know if they still Are), K5s were shipped with the counter reset to 0.
