Mrs.

I just purchased a Pentax MV. I was looking at the camera body to see how to turn it on and I don't see any kind of on/off button. Looked at the manual and doesn't say anything there. Does it have an on/off button or is it "on" all the time?

MV has a Auto and a X100 (manual) and a B (manual) selector. This is the black collar surrounding the release button. So when you set the camera on the Auto it should be on. The battery when fresh and properly inserted will cause the left side/middle slot to glow. Did you get it with the assurance that it was serviced recently?

Does the camera respond when you 1/2-depress the shutter button?
