can't view images on card in camera

I am having a new problem viewing images on my cards. I have a K5 and a 200D and they are both doing it all of a sudden. It isn't a card error since I have about 10 cards and it won't let me view any images on any of them. It says "no image", even though the card is full. Any ideas? TIA

If you didn't take the photos with the camera you're trying to view them on, or the metadata has somehow been altered, there's no guarantee that they'll show up. Try taking a few new snaps and see if they show.

Thanks -- I thought of that but that isn't the case. I wonder if it's got something to do with importing them. It's the cards that I have already downloaded the images on to my computer that this is happening with. I don't erase them after import so that isn't it and when I double check with my card reader it shows all the images still on the card. I eject it from the computer and then put it in my camera but it says "no image" and then tells me that my memory card is full - which of course it is..... I'm stumped as to why this is happening all of a sudden.

Were the folder names changed in any way? Cameras expect a certain structure and will not read images if the folder names are changed.

Did you perhaps remove the card without first telling your computer to "Safely Remove Hardware"? I just had a similar problem with a card when my computer overheated and locked up. I got the images back with the SanDisk utility.

How are you importing the files? You might try (with another card) write-protecting the card before inserting it into your card reader.
