Do you have a user manual? I'm not sure with the Kx, but my K20D supports Slow-Speed Sync and Trailing Curtain Sync. Both are documented in the USING THE FLASH section of the manual. Hope this helps you!

Yes, the Kx does support both Slow-Speed Sync and Trailing Curtain Sync. Pages 156-159 of the manual.
JP Myburgh - if you don't have the manual you can download it here: http://www.pentaximaging.com/images/temp/63399407595779261272600manual_k-x_en_official.pdf
