Can any 645d owners help with this?
I'm not sure the dust removal on my 645d is working. My K20d physically shook itself on start-up, whereas there is no noise or movement with my 645d (and yes I definitely have 'dust removal on start-up' selected in the menu). Is this normal on the 645d, or is mine faulty?

If it's anything like the K5/K7, you won't here it. It's silent. Not the violent type shake of the K10/K20 cameras.

Since the K-7 Pentax uses utrasonic movement of the sensor (or AA filter like Olympus first did, I don't know, moving the entire sensor seems a lot of mass).
You cannot hear the mechanism. However it is extremely more effective than the K10D, K20D shaking.

The 645D uses the new ultrasonic system which is very, very faint compared to the K20D. You should be able to hear a brief sound on startup.

Jeff, Bert, Adam - Thanks very much for your replies. It seems my 645D is normal then. Having 'skipped' the K5 and K7, I wasn't aware of the new silent dust removal system!
